More specifically, why do many intelligent people believe in seemingly outlandish ideas that we label as “conspiracy theories?” Such as the earth being run by lizard people that mingle among us? Or many celebrities and political leaders drinking the blood of slain children to stay young? Or the Free Masons controlling every major event on the planet? Or even Paul McCartney being dead since 1965?
